This Privacy Policy applies to, but is not limited to, all products, applications, services and websites offered by Win Accounting/WinAcc. Win Accounting is a brand/product of eADS DIRECT CC, trading as DS Software Developments Services.

By creating an online account and/or submitting your details and/or using and/or purchasing the products and services we offer (including free trials), we imply that you consent to our collecting and using of personal information for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, we will either provide you with an opportunity to say no, or ask you directly for your expressed consent.

For the purposes of this policy “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013 (“POPIA”). Personal information “means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person”.

  • register to use our websites (including, but not limited to, the general Win Accounting website, the Win Accounting Shop website, and/or the Win Accounting Help website), applications, products and/or services (including free trials); this may include, but is not limited to, your full name (including business name), your email address, your contact number, and country/province of residence. We may also ask you to provide additional information about your business and your business/professional preferences; 
  • place an order using our websites, applications, services and/or third party social media websites; this may include, but is not limited to, your full name (including business name), your email address, your contact number, and country/province of residence; 
  • use of our applications, which may include the collection of metadata; 
  • complete online forms, enter competitions and/or promotions, partake in our surveys, post/comment on any of our blogs and/or forums, download of information such as white papers and/or guides, or participate in any other interactive areas that appear on our websites and/or within our applications or services; 
  • interact with us through chatbots and/or website popups; 
  • interact with us using social media; 
  • contact us in any offline method, for example by telephone, fax, SMS or email. 

We may also collect your personal information in instances where you only partially complete and/or abandon any information inputted into our websites and/or other online forms. This information may be used to contact you to remind you to complete any outstanding information and/or for marketing purposes.

We also collect information from your devices (including mobile devices) and applications you or your users use to access and/or use any of our websites, applications or services. We do not share your personal information with any unaffiliated third parties, except as necessary to comply with the reasons for which we use your personal information (see How we use your personal information above), and/or as required or permitted by law or professional standards.

You are entitled to know what kind of personal information we have about you, to correct it, and to opt out of marketing.

It can take us up to 21 days to respond to your request as there are procedures that we need to follow. In certain cases, we may require proof of your identity, and sometimes changes to your information may be subject to additional requirements such as valid proof of residence.

Your information is kept secure by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures against its unlawful or unauthorised processing, and against its accidental loss, damage or destruction. Our best efforts will be taken to protect your personal information, but we cannot guarantee the security of your information which is transmitted to our websites, applications and/or services via an internet or similar connection. If we have provided you with a password (or you have chosen one) to gain access to our websites, applications and/or services – keep this password safe; we will not share this password with anyone.

  1. How do I withdraw my consent?

If after opting in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you and/or use your personal information by contacting us at accounts@winacc.com.

  1. WooCommerce and Third-Party Payment Gateway

Our store is hosted on WordPress, using WooCommerce as the e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products and/or services to you. All personal information recorded through WooCommerce is securely stored in our host’s database. No payment and/or card information is stored by WooCommerce, as we make use of PayFast, a trusted third-party payment gateway platform.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify and/or amend this privacy policy at any time. You therefore agree to review the Privacy Policy whenever you visit our websites for any such changes. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website and/or updating of this document.
